Two female Gardaí and a man have been injured after a garda car was rammed in Limerick.
The incident happened in Castletroy shortly after 1pm this afternoon.
It is believed the gardai patrol car was rammed by another car after the officers responded to an alert in the area.
All 3 remain in hospital.
However their injuries are not life-threatening.
It is the second such incident in 2 days.
Last night Gardaí arrested a man after an incident in south Dublin.
It happened in the Ballycullen area last night.
At about 9:45pm last night gardai attempted to stop an Audi at Daltree Place in the Ballycullen area of south Dublin.
But the driver of the vehicle failed to stop it and instead rammed the patrol car before the 3 occupants fled the scene on foot followed by Gardaí.
A short time later officers arrested a 25-year-old man after recovering a firearm.
He is now being held at Rathfarmham Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
