Gardaí were injured in two separate incidents in Dublin yesterday.
Just before 6pm yesterday afternoon, Gardaí were called to the Swan Shopping Centre in Rathmines after a man was struck by a car.
It is understood he became abusive after emergency services arrived and he was found to be in possession of an imitation firearm.
The man was arrested; however, two Gardaí were injured and were taken to St Vincent's Hospital.
A Garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
Separately, two men were arrested after a car chase from Cuffe Street to St Luke's Avenue in the city centre.
The men were arrested after the Garda Air Support Unit was brought in; however, a Garda member was injured when a vehicle reversed as he approached it.
He was taken to St James Hospital with minor injuries and was later released.
The men, one in his late 20s and the other in his early 30s, were taken to Kevin Street Garda Station.
Gardaí said a search uncovered a small quantity of ecstasy tablets, MDMA and drug paraphernalia.
A spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing.
