Gardaí are investigating a suspected assault on a woman near Dublin Airport yesterday morning.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was discovered with serious injuries at around 8am yesterday on the R108 in Huntstown. 

She was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she is being treated injuries that are “serious but not life-threatening". 

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 7.30am and 8.15am and may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
