Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a shooting incident in Darndale.

At around 11pm last night, a number of shots were fired at an empty car, parked in the driveway of a house in the Primrose Grove estate.

No one was in the car at the time and the culprit fled the scene on foot in the direction of Darndale Park.

Gardaí say the gunman was wearing hooded clothing and they are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
