An apartment has been sealed off in Dublin city centre this evening, as Gardaí investigate reports that a dead body has been found.

Gardaí say they were called to the apartment on Prussia Street in Stoneybatter earlier today – and   what they found there led them to believe that the discovery was suspicious.

Gardaí have called in the services of the State Pathologist and will not be in a position to confirm the reports, until a preliminary examination has been carried out.

The Garda Technical Bureau has also been called in and the scene is to be forensically examined.
