Gardaí investigating the death of a 68-year-old man after an assault in Cork city are appealing for information on a white Volkswagen Taxi seen near the crime scene.
Florrie O’Sullivan died at Cork University Hospital nearly one month after he was assaulted at Glentrasna Court at The Glen in Cork City.
He was assaulted on March 11th and died in hospital from his injuries on April 6th.
Gardaí launched a murder investigation shortly after his death.
Today investigators renewed their appeal for information – calling for witnesses or anyone with video footage to come forward.
They are also appealing for information on a white Volkswagen Taxi that was seen in the area between 8pm and 8:20pm on the night of the assault.
They are urging the driver of the taxi to make contact.
