Gardai are investigating the discovery of a man's body in Ratoath, Co Meath.

He was found dead at the gable end of a house in Mooretown at around quarter to 12 yesterday.

It is understood the man, in his 30s, had sustained head injuries.

The body was removed to the morgue at Navan General Hospital and a forensic exam was carried out at the scene.

A post mortem was carried out this afternoon.

Gardai are awaiting the results of further forensic tests.
