Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic crash which occurred on Arden Road, Tullamore Town, County Offaly this afternoon, at approximately 1pm.

A man in his mid 70's was pronounced dead at scene after the vehicle he was driving collided with the kerbside and a bus. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. 

There were no passengers on the bus and no other injuries have been reported.

The road is currently closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
