Gardaí investigating the deaths of two brothers on a farm in County Cork have found a third body.
The bodies of two brothers were uncovered after Gardaí were called to a farm house at Curragorm, Mitchelstown around midnight last night.
It is believed the body recovered this morning is the brother of the two men found dead on the farm.
This morning, investigators issued a call for information on a red Toyota Corolla van they believed the suspect may have fled the scene in.
The car was later found on the grounds of a separate farmhouse as Killacluig; however, the driver was not at the scene.
A man was then found dead in a river in a remote location nearby.
Gardaí are currently working to recover and identify this body; however, it is believed the three dead men were all brothers.
Farm deaths
Armed Support Units were sent to the farm last night after a woman called Gardaí and informed them that her father had been killed at his family's farm.
A cordon was set up around the farm and officers found the body of one man in the yard of the farmhouse and a second body in a barn. Both men are believed to be aged in their late 60s.
The area has been sealed off and members of the Garda Technical Bureau are due to conduct an examination.
The Locum Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolser is due to attend the scene and post mortems will be carried out at Cork University Hospital later.
Alert
Gardaí believe the two men were killed before the third fled in a van belonging to one of the victims.
An alert was launched earlier to trace the whereabouts of a red Toyota Corolla van, with registration 03-WW-1556, in connection with the investigation.
People were urged not to not approach the vehicle, and instead contact Gardaí by calling 999.
The car has now been removed from the Killakluig farmhouse for a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with any information to contact them.
