Gardaí have issued an urgent appeal for information on the whereabouts of a Silver Nissan Qashqai.

Investigators are warning people not to approach the car but asking them to immediately report any sighting of it by calling 999.

The car was last seen in the Mountjoy Square area of Dublin city centre at around 1.50pm this afternoon.

The car is described as a Silver Nissan Qashqai Hatchback, with the registration number 10-D-21328.
