Gardaí have launched an investigation into the discovery of a body on the Kinsale Road in Cork. 

A man in his 40s was found unresponsive at a premises on the Kinsale Road near Cork Airport in the early hours of this morning. 

He was taken to Cork University Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead. 

Gardaí say a post-mortem will take place in due course, the results of which will determine the course of their investigation
