Gardaí in Limerick are said to be on high-alert after the release of convicted criminal Ger Dundon.
Security concerns meant the 26-year-old was freed yesterday evening, a day before he was due to be released.
He was sentence to five years in 2010 for violent disorder, however with remission he served just four.

Ger Dundon is a member of one of the most high-profile crime families in the country - his three brothers remain behind bars.
