A woman’s death in Limerick is being treated as a potential murder by An Garda Síochána.
The victim was found dead at Riverdock House, Dock Road on Tuesday; she was in her 20s and originally from Romania.
A post mortem has been carried out but the results will not be revealed for operational reasons.
Fr Seamus Enright, rector of the Redemptorists, said her death was a reminder of how precious life is.
“We do have that sense that [of] life being cheapened and [there] may be something coarser in our values,” he said.
“It reminds us, of course, of how precious life is and how we should be doing everything we possibly can to protect life and to defend life and, of course, to create communities as well where people can be safe and secure and live without this kind of thing happening.”
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with any information to come forward.
