Migrants living in tents have been removed by Gardaí from the Grand Canal in Dublin.
Around 100 tents had been pitched along the canal close to the International Protection Office on Mount Street.
In a statement, the Department of the Taoiseach said Gardaí aimed to “ensure the safe movement of people seeking international protection from the tents on the Grand Canal to International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS)-designated accommodation.”
The new accommodation will have access to toilets, showers, food, charging points and transport links to Dublin city centre.
Amid a large Garda presence, two buses waited as the men's names were checked off a list.
The area around the Grand Canal was completely barricaded off and the tents were removed.
Taoiseach Simon Harris says the Government will not allow 'tent cities' to become the norm anywhere.
"We saw an issue arise on the Grand Canal and action was taken, swift action," he said.
"You didn't see a situation go on for weeks and months as you had previously seen in relation to Mount Street.
"I've no doubt other issues will arise but the multi-agency response will continue.
"The days of people saying, 'That's not my issue, that's for that department' - I don't want to hear it.
"This is the Government, this is Ireland, this is Team Ireland," he added.
It followed a similar operation on May 1st with 290 men relocated from Mount Street to accommodation at Crooksling and Citywest.
