Gardaí are investigating a shooting in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

At about a quarter past midnight - a 30-year-old man was discovered at Fairgreen in Saggart with a gun-shot wound to the leg.

He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man in his 30s has been arrested - he's being held at Lucan Garda Station.

The scene of the shooting remains sealed-off this morning pending a full technical examination.

Gardai at Ronanstown are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
