Gardai have seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €32,500 in Tallaght in west Dublin this evening.

As part of an ongoing investigation Gardai carried out a search at a house, during which they seized the herbal cannabis.

A man aged in his early 30s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at Tallaght Garda Station.

He can be detained for up to 24 hours.
