Gardaí have seized an estimated €1.6 million worth of cannabis in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
The operation occurred around 6:30pm on Thursday, July 4th, when officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau intercepted a vehicle.
A separate search operation was also conducted under a warrant at a business premises in the Blanchardstown area.
During the two searches, 80 kg of cannabis herb was seized, with an estimated street value of €1.6 million.
The drugs will now be subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
A man in his 40s was arrested in relation to the seizure and is currently being held at a Garda station in Dublin.
