A court has heard there are five unidentified suspects in the alleged assault and robbery of English tourists in Temple Bar earlier this month.
The claims were made in a bail hearing this morning for a 16-year-old boy, who has been charged in relation to the case.
Giving evidence to Dublin District Court, Garda Ruth Finnegan claimed there are eight suspects in relation to this alleged incident on Friday August 11th in Fownes Street Upper in Temple Bar.
They include five unidentified suspects, and three others who have been charged.
One of those, a 16-year-old boy who can't be identified due to his age, appeared before the court this morning accused of robbery and two counts of assault causing harm.
Garda Finnegan said the boy allegedly punched one of the English tourists in the face, and stamping on the head of a second as he was on the ground.
It's claimed there is 'excellent quality' CCTV footage, while Sgt Tom Murphy told the court he identified the accused in the footage.
The boy was granted bail by judge Patricia Cronin on strict conditions, including observing a 9pm to 8am curfew and staying out of the Dublin 2 area.
He's been granted legal aid and will appear in court again next week.
