It has been confirmed that Garth Brooks will perform at Croke Park next year.
The country music star will perform at the stadium on the 9th and 10th September 2022, with tickets on sale from next Thursday at 8am.
While only two dates have been confirmed today, it's expected that Brooks will perform five gigs at the venue.
It comes after Dublin City Council granted permission for five concerts at the GAA headquarters, with the country star widely tipped to play more than two nights.
Today's announcement comes seven years after Brooks had to pull out of five consecutive dates at the venue because of issues over the licence.
Despite tickets for all five gigs selling out, Dublin City Council ultimately said they'd only given a licence for three dates.
Officials said they would be concerned over the precedent five nights-in-a-row would set.
Garth Brooks himself ultimately cancelled the planned Dublin dates, saying he'd only be willing to play the full five gigs or none at all.
