The family of former Welsh football manager Gary Speed are to donate the proceeds from a major golf pro-am in his honour to Console.

The Speed family have formed close links with the Irish suicide prevention charity in the aftermath of the death of the popular Welsh manager who died by suicide at his home in November 2011.

Console are set to open a new suicide prevention centre in Westminster, London, in the next few weeks at the invitation of the UK authorities.
