Free 30-minute e-bike rides have been announced as a “special election initiative”.
The offer comes from RedClick Dublinbikes, who provide e-bikes in the city-centre.
The company has said the initiative will "make it easier for residents to exercise their democratic right to vote".
The ‘1 Day Ticket’ is usually €3.50 but for November 29th rides of 30-minutes and under will be free.
Standard rental charges applying for trips over 30 minutes.
"Free passes"
In a press release, RedClick’s Head of Marketing Lisa Silver said the company is “committed to making it easier for people to move around Dublin”.
“Offering free day passes on Election Day is our way of supporting the democratic process and helping the Dublin community get to polling stations quickly, sustainably and without stress,” she said.
“We hope this initiative makes it a little easier for voters to make their voices heard.”
"More connected, voter-friendly city"
Dublin City Council’s head of transportation Brendan O’Brien said easy access to polling stations is a priority for the Council.
“We’re delighted to partner with RedClick in this initiative,” he said.
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to a more connected, voter-friendly city.”
