Gerry Adams has told a press conference in Belfast this evening that he is innocent, and played no part in the 1972 murder of Jean McConville.
After four days and 96 hours of police questioning the Sinn Fein leader has been released from custody in Antrim without charge.
It's understood a file will now be sent to Northern Ireland's Public Prosecution Service - which will then decide whether there is a case to answer.
