Irish actors Colin Farrell and Andrew Scott will go head-to-head at the Golden Globes next year.
The Dubliners have both been nominated in the 'Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series' category for their roles in "The Penguin" and "Ripley" respectively.
Meanwhile, "Gladiator II" starring Paul Mescal has received a nomination for ‘Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures’.
Mescal’s co-star Denzel Washington is also up for ‘Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role in a Motion Picture’.
Saoirse Ronan missed out in the Female Actor category for her performance in The Outrun.
The ceremony will be hosted by American comedian Nikki Glazer and will take place on January 5th.
