Homes and businesses affected by last month’s flash floods in Cork could soon be able to avail of a ten million euro aid package.
The cabinet is due to discuss extending the scope of the fund, set up after a similar event in Dublin last year.

However, only 800 thousand euro has already been spent.
Two inches of rain fell in just three hours across Cork city and county on June 28th.
Many of the homes and businesses that were inundated by the floods didn’t have insurance.
