The warning's come from the Free Legal Advice Centre, after new figures showing a further increase in the number of homeloans that are more than 3 months in arrears.
FLAC says the figures don't take into account people whose homes are covered by shared ownership schemes or who have mortgages with local authorities.
The group's Director General Noeline Blackwell says people need the government's help:
