Graham Norton is being conferred with an honorary doctorate at UCC today. The Bandon native studied French and English at the University for 2 years.
He left in 1983 and went on to become one of the best-loved broadcasters and comedians.
He took some time out to speak to the waiting fans and pose for photos.
He was one of four people conferred by the university for their contributions to broadcasting, business, journalism and the legal world.
Speaking to Cork's RedFM Graham said he is thrilled with the honour and explained why he did not finish his Arts Degree at the time.
