An Garda Síochana are used to stopping cars for any number of reasons, but this one takes the flux capacitor!
This morning, they tweeted photos of a DeLorean car showing a guard talking to the driver.
The DeLorean, which was built in Belfast, was made famous by the 'Back to the Future' time travel films.
The photos were posted with the caption: Great Scott! ....I don’t care what year you say you are going to, you can’t do 88mph here Doc!".
These are all references to the films - incorporating Dr Emmet Brown's catchphrase, and the speed the car needed to reach to activate the time circuits.
