Trinity College in Dublin will get a green star today for its efforts in running its campus in an environmentally friendly manner.

An Taisce will award the university a 'Green Flag' for putting in place measures to reduce water usage, plant more trees and increase the student's involvement in managing the college's environment.

The body - which acts as the National Trust for Ireland - says the country will only become a greener place because of efforts like Trinity's.
