The Green Party leader says it's time the country steered in a 'new direction'.

Speaking at the party's national convention in Dublin yesterday, Eamon Ryan said it's time for a different economic model for the country - focusing on natural resources and small business.

The former Communications Minister says its members have experience at local, national and European level.

And, Eamon Ryan has vowed to use that experience to benefit Irish people.
