The Green Party leader has said he is not ruling out any parties when it comes to forming the next government.
Eamon Ryan has invited Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael, Sinn Féin and the Social Democrats to hold talks on issues like housing, health and climate change.
Speaking to Newstalk's Off The Record programme, Mr Ryan said the focus needs to be on making sure urgent action is taken.
He said: "People say you can't go in with Sinn Féin and I respectfully disagree but I understand where people are coming from.
"Then you hear people saying you can't go in with Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael, and again I respectfully disagree.
"There is also a mandate for the people that voted for us that we are are in a climate emergency.
"This decade is critical and if you have the potential to deliver what would be an absolutely clear, transparent way of doing things then I don't think we should rule it out."
The Green Party issued a statement earlier today saying they have invited the four parties to a series of bilateral meetings this month.
They said they will be "open to further meetings with other parties who may be interested in discussions around government formation".
The housing crisis, climate and biodiversity targets, Sláintecare, Brexit, public services and community development are among the topics for discussion.
Mr Ryan said the meetings will aim to "get clarity on points of agreement and difference with each party".
He added: "We hope the approach will make sure any future negotiations on government formation is based on proper policy analysis."
