Heart attack symptoms can be different for men and women.
Women frequently do not experience the typical chest pain associated with male heart attacks - and a new study has found that 50% of women are unaware of this.
Neil Johnson, Executive Director of 'Global Heart Hub' said they want to raise awareness so that women do not miss the signs.
“Women will experience jaw pain, for example, neck or shoulder pain,” he said.
“Sometimes they describe a pressure in the chest; very often [they] feel sick, nauseous, sweaty, tired.
“Which sometimes can be dismissed [by people] not realising these can be cardiac [problems].”

The HSE advises that other symptoms of a heart attack include chest pain, feeling lightheaded or dizzy, sweating, shortness of breath, feeling sick or vomiting.
An overwhelming sense of anxiety is also a symptom, as is coughing or wheezing.
If you think you are having a heart attack, dial 999 or 112 and ask for an ambulance.
People are then advised to rest while waiting for an ambulance, so as not to put unnecessary pressure on their heart.
