Are the polls underestimating support for Donald Trump?
In 2016, most of the world was shocked when he defied the odds and beat Hillary Clinton to the White House.
Eight-years on, have pollsters learnt the error of their ways and corrected their methodologies?
Harris and Trump are currently neck-and-neck in swing states across America but financial advisor Karl Deeter believes the polls are still not providing an accurate snapshot of public opinion.
“[People who answer polls] tend to be highly politically charged people - people who are really into politics,” he told The Hard Shoulder.
“There’s a lot of people who will vote for Trump who simply won’t ever say it.
“They’ll do it when they’re in the booth but they won’t actually say it to anybody.”

Mr Deeter, who lives in Ireland but is also a US citizen, described Kamala Harris as someone who has “not been performing” in her role as Vice President and who most Americans disliked.
“Harris is the most unpopular Vice President in living memory,” he said.
“Dick Cheney was actually more popular than her and he shot someone in the face.
“Harris never even made it past Iowa when she was trying to run for President.”

Recently, on a visit back to the States, Mr Deeter visited traditionally Red States and Blue States.
Wherever he went, he felt there was very little enthusiasm for the Democratic ticket.
“You’d obviously be forgiven in Arkansas or Florida if you didn’t see any Harris support,” he said.
“But it was actually really absent in New Jersey - which I thought was odd because I thought during Obama it was 100% there.
“Hillary was 100% there and this time around there just seems to be a lack of it.”
Americans will vote on Tuesday November 5th.
