An antiques dealer from Georgia claims he has found the original recipe for Coca Cole in an old box of manuscripts he acquired from an estate.

The papers, dating back to 1943, were said to belong to a renowned chemist.

And Cliff Kluge has not waited long to cash in on his discovery as he put the top secret formula on eBay for an eye-watering $15 million (€11.4 million).

He believes it is an authentic recipe, referencing several clues within the paper.

However, while Coca Cola admit that Kluge's formula probably comes close to the actual recipe, they claim it is not the real thing. 

The original recipe was concocted by Dr John S Pemberton back in 1886 but remains shrouded in secrecy and is locked deep in a vault at the Coca Cola Museum in Atlanta.
