Fine Gael and Labour will tonight vote confidence in the Health Minister.
Last night James Reilly vowed to continue in his job and to continue with reforms which he says are already delivering a better health service.
But Fianna Fáil accused him of presiding over bedlam, dysfunction and chaos.
Yesterday the Taoiseach said the coalition will show the confidence they have in the Health Minister in the Dáil vote today.
Enda Kenny says the Fianna Fáil motion of ‘no confidence’ in James Reilly is because they are “terrified” of the Sinn Féin party.
The issue of the vote and health cuts dominated the first day back of the Dáil on Tuesday.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin says government ministers and backbenchers have refused so far to back James Reilly.
But Enda Kenny says they will show their support in full.
The motion was tabled by Fianna Fail after the Health Service Executive (HSE) announced cuts in services for people with disabilities ”“ some of which were later reversed.
Mr. Martin said it speaks volumes that Labour Ministers Roisin Shortall, Jan O’Sullivan and Joan Burton have failed to express confidence in Minister Reilly.
