Heathrow Airport operated at a capacity of 85% yesterday, after a fire on Friday forced the airport to close.
Flights from Dublin have since returned to normal.
Travel Journalist Eoghan Corry said the focus yesterday was on reorganising the airport.
"Today will be probably the first normal day again in Heathrow," he said.
"Yesterday, about 85% of British Airways flights were back in the air and yesterday was really about getting a lot of aircraft which were in the wrong place after Friday back into the right place.
"That included the six aircraft that were stranded in Shannon."

A fire at a nearby substation late on Thursday night triggered a "significant power outage", leading to more than 1,000 flights being cancelled and disrupting the plans of about 200,000 people.
The repercussions were still being felt on Saturday, with flight boards regularly showing cancellations and delays despite extra staff being drafted in and more services added.
Police have said the cause of the fire is believed to be non-suspicious - but the UK government have ordered an urgent investigation, with initial findings expected within six weeks.
