Gardaí say extreme care is needed on the M1 approaching Dublin, particularly around junctions two, three and four, which are said to be nearly impassable.

And watch out for flooding on the Chapelizod Rd inbound at South Circular Road ni Dublin.

Moving South to Wicklow, excess surface water's causing problems on the N11, particularly northbound at The Beehive; and at the Ballinameesda Bends.

Spot flooding in Greystones and Bray too.

A number of roads in Wexford Town are impassable - and the Wexford to Rosslare Rd is bad between Rocklands and the Rosslare Rd roundabout.

Flooding on the Waterford to Dunmore East Rd, at Dunmore East and Callaghane - and the N25 Waterford to New Ross Rd is impassable at New Glen.

Reports from Cork and Tipperary suggest surface water there is already receding, but do take care around Glanmire Village, Fermoy and Mitchelstown.
