Cloudy this morning over much of the eastern half of the country, with outbreaks of rain, heavy in parts of the east and north, with a risk of thunder.
Brighter conditions developing in Munster and Connacht, with scattered showers, will extend gradually northeastwards, reaching the northeast coast towards evening.
However, some of the showers may be heavy and thundery, especially in parts of the east and southeast.
Maximum temperatures 16 to 20 Celsius, in light to moderate southerly breezes, veering westerly.

Tonight will be mainly dry, with clear intervals, but cloud will increase from the Atlantic, with rain developing in west Munster by morning.
Mist and fog patches will develop, in mostly light winds.
Minimum temperatures 5 to 8 Celsius.
