AA Roadwatch says traffic approaching the National Ploughing Championships today in Co. Wexford is heavy but moving.
Gardaí are advising motorists travelling to day 2 of the event at Heathpark just outside New Ross to adhere to the traffic plan.
The AA says it is very busy on the N25/Waterford Rd from Slievroe (Kilkenny) to New Ross.
Earlier delays from Passage East through Waterford City have eased.
However Bus Éireann says it is taking 2 hours and 15 minutes to travel from Waterford City to New Ross.
It is slow westbound on the N30/Enniscorthy Road approaching New Ross and from Larkin’s Cross on the N25/Wexford Road.
The AA is also advising people to expect delays on the Kilkenny/New Ross Road (R700).
Signposted diversions are in place through the towns of Enniscorthy and New Ross.
Gardaí are asking motorists travelling to New Ross from the M9 and exit at J5 Carlow or J8 Kilkenny to avoid delays on the N25 from Waterford.
Bus Éireann is operating a shuttle bus service to and from Waterford City and Wexford Town to Ballinaboola each day.
