New mortgage rules introduced by the Central Bank mean that banks will be able to lend up to 90 percent of the value of properties worth up to €220,000 to first-time buyers - beyond that point the 80 percent limit will apply.
Speaking to The Pat Kenny Show, an Taoiseach Enda Kenny said he thinks that the new regulations are fair and that they "strike the right balance."
