/> Clary, 53, found fame with his cabaret act The Joan Collins Fan Club, accompanied by his pet Fanny the Wonderdog, going on to host shows such as Sticky Moments for Channel 4.

He caused a stir in the early 1990s with a near-the-knuckle joke about then chancellor of the Exchequer Norman Lamont at a live TV awards show which led to a period in the wilderness. But he bounced back to work on shows such as Prickly Heat, as a guest host on Have I Got News For You and as a regular panellist on Radio 4′s Just A Minute.

The 70-year-old actress became a household name as brassy barmaid turned Rover’s Return landlady Bet Lynch with her leopard- print tops and blonde beehive in Coronation Street.

She quit the show in 1995 after a quarter of a century but went on to make two brief comebacks. Goodyear, who was awarded an MBE for her services to TV drama, has gone on to take part in a number of TV shows including weight-loss programme

The star – who secretly fought cancer during her years in the soap – also took a role in stage hit Calendar Girls, before pulling out due to illness and chronicled her colourful love life in her autobiography Just Julie.

:: Jasmine Lennard

Lennard was a contestant on Channel Five’s Make Me A Supermodel, and, despite being booted off in the early stages, went on to host a spin-off show until she was fired for being abusive about judge Rachel Hunter.

Kemp, 50, performed on a string of hits in the 1980s as a member of Spandau Ballet, along with his brother Gary.

He had already been a child actor – appearing in shows such as The Tomorrow People – and returned to the career with his sibling when they starred in The Krays, about the East End gangland godfathers.

Kemp – who has a metal plate in his skull after brain tumour surgery – went on to play villain Steve Owen in BBC soap EastEnders and has since made his debut as a director. He is married to former chart star Shirlie Holliman.

Glamour girl Sugden has modelled for magazines such as Loaded, Zoo and Nuts, as well as posing topless for Page Three.

The 25-year-old, from Bury, also does dance DJ sets at clubs, but is possibly best known for exchanging saucy text messages with presenter Vernon Kay. Brick, 40, found notoriety when she wrote in a newspaper about how difficult it was being “beautiful”.

The former television executive, who has worked on programmes for ITV, BBC, Sky and Channel 4, lives in south west France with her French husband and teenage stepson.

She became a national talking point in April for a first-person piece published in the Daily Mail, headlined: “There are downsides to looking this pretty. Why women hate me for being beautiful.”

In it, she moaned about how tough her life had been because she was so pretty, prompting jealousy from other women.

:: Ashley McKenzie

Olympian McKenzie was introduced to judo at the age of 11 by his mother after he got into a row over Pokemon cards.

Since then, the 23-year-old, from Willesden, north London, has won World Cup titles and fought at London 2012.
