Well, the temperature has certainly dropped over the last couple of weeks and it certainly doesn't look like it's going to get better this weekend.
On top of the bus strike, it turns out you can look forward to quite a bit of rain over the next few days.
Met Éireann say that the weather will "remain very unsettled up to and including the middle of next week (at least)".
On Saturday night, there will be further outbreaks of rain, especially in the north, but dry intervals will develop in many areas also. Some mist and fog patches are possible, as winds slacken inland. Mild. Minimum temperatures 5 to 8 Celsius.
Sunday will unfortunately see more rain, heavy at times, but some bright or sunny spells will develop, as more persistent rain gives way to scattered showers. Mild. Max. 13 to 16 Celsius, with moderate southerly winds, veering westerly and increasing fresh to strong.
The early days of next week will remain changeable and unsettled, with occasional showers, or longer spells of rain at times, but there will be some bright or sunny spells also. Max. daytime temperatures in the low to mid teens. Winds mostly moderate, but indications are that it will become windy by midweek, with strong westerly winds developing.
