Four people have been arrested and over €700,000 worth of drugs has been found in two separate drug seizures.
Gardaí in Dublin arrested three men and found €650,000 worth of heroin in searches in Rathcoole yesterday evening.
The men, who are in their 30s, were stopped and searched on the Crumlin Road at around 6.30 pm yesterday evening, when a quantity of heroin was discovered.
During a follow-up search of an apartment in West Park, Rathcoole about an hour and a half later, a large amount of heroin was found, along with various drug paraphernalia - including a hydraulic press, bagging materials and scales.
The three are being held at Irishtown, Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations.
The arrests come as part of an intelligence-led investigation into sale of drugs in the South Central area of Dublin - the three men are being held at Irishtown, Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations. They are being held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Elsewhere, and seperately gardaí in Wicklow arrested a man in his early 30s yesterday - after they found €90,000 worth of cannabis plants in Kilmacanogue.
He is being held at Bray garda station.
