Commuters are facing delays of up to an hour-and-twenty minutes to services running out of Dublin’s Heuston Station this morning.
Trains coming in to the station are facing delays of 30 minutes.
Iarnrod Éireann said the deal is due to “mechanical issues” on the line between Sallins and Newbridge.
The train service said there are also delays of around half-an-hour on all services between Newbridge and Grand Canal dock.
It is urging passengers headed toward Grand Canal dock to “join alternative services to Hazelhatch and change for GCD there.”

"Luxury" service as usual with overcrowded train carriage. No access to the toilets during this time, a health and safety issue for sure. More people getting on right now at Sallins & Naas. Shame on you @IrishRail 😑 pic.twitter.com/z4rzJoGSP2
