The High Court has ordered the liquidation of a company that ran a nursing home in Co. Kilkenny.
Avondale Nursing Home in Callan was closed by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) in 2001.
The winding-up order was made following an application to the court by a former employee of the company. Declan de Lacy of PKF O'Connor, Leddy and Holmes has been appointed as official liquidator.

He is keen to make contact with approximately 40 former employees who may be due compensation for unpaid wages.
