The President of the High Court is examining allegations that a Circuit Court judge tried to interfere in a family law case.

Both Justice Nicholas Kearns and the President of the Circuit Court, Justice Raymond Groarke, are investigating the claims.

It emerged yesterday that a judge in a family law case had been approached by a circuit court judge with questions about an ongoing case.

The judge in the family law case had criticised what he called the "improper" conduct of the other judge, who had allegedly interfered in the case.
