Some of the most powerful politicians in the world will arrive in Dublin this evening for a 2-day conference.
The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the British Foreign Secretary William Hague and the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will be among the 50 dignitaries attending the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) event at the RDS.
Clinton to visit Dublin & Belfast
During her time here Hillary Clinton will also hold meetings on areas of co-operation with Ireland in promoting peace, human rights and economic growth.
Mrs. Clinton will also deliver a major speech on US achievements in support of human rights globally.
During this she and her counterparts will discuss proposals to strengthen the OSCE capacity to promote comprehensive security in Eurasia, as well as meet with civil society representatives from across the OSCE region.
On Friday she will travel to Belfast and hold meetings to discuss the peace process, the US-Ireland Research and Development Partnership and economic opportunities for the North.
Finally she will attend an event hosted by The Ireland Funds - a global fundraising network supporting programs of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education, and community development - before departing.
