With Movember’s whiskers already but a scratchy memory, single gentlemen who cultivated facial might want to develop the full chin-stroker, as there's a new app dedicated to connecting men with beards with people who really like men with beards (who may or may not be beardless).

Bristlr has sprouted more than 25,000 users in five weeks, and the app, which was set up as a joke, now grows at a rate of 10 percent per day.

"People think it's kind of cool," founder John Kershaw said to the Mail Online.

"I've started to talk to the people using it, and some say that it is the best dating site they've ever used. I think it's the fact that instead of it being this serious business like 'Hey, if you click this button we're going to do this serious thing,' it's more like 'Hey, I like your beard.' It's light-hearted - you can't take it too seriously, which I think is really appealing to people."

Mr Kershaw is keen to state that Bristlr is open to everyone, regardless of their ability to grow a beard. About half of the users are bearded men, while the other half are merely fans of men who do. The app has become a hit in the UK, the Netherlands, and the US.
