One of the Australian radio DJs involved in last year's royal hoax phone call has been given permission to appear at a nurse's inquest.

Mel Greig's expected to give evidence at the hearing in September.

Jacintha Saldanha took her own life after connecting the call at the hospital where a pregnant Duchess of Cambridge was being treated.

The Sunday Times newspaper in the UK reported yesterday that Ms Saldanha had left a suicide note blaming the two DJs, including Michael Christian, for her suicide. It's reported teh note also asks thatthe pair be made responsible for paying her mortgage.

Ms Greig, who was working for 2Day FM in Sydney at the time of the call, has applied for and been granted permission to appear as an individual.
