The terrorism thriller “Homeland” and “Modern Family” were the big winners at the Emmy Awards in LA.
There was a Supporting Actress prize for Dame Maggie Smith for her role in Downton Abbey.
But there were also some surprises – Mad Men didn’t get a single trophy.
“Homeland” secured four honours last night, including for its stars Claire Danes and British actor Damian Lewis - who says he’s delighted he’s been accepted by US audiences, after first appearing in HBO miniseries Band of Brothers:
