A homeless man who was given refuge in a parochial house in Co. Limerick was found dead this morning.
The 41 year old man's body was found in Raheen parish house this morning. Gardai say the death is not suspicious.
A post mortem examination is being carried out at University Hospital Limerick.
Meanwhile, Director of the Dublin Region Homeless Executive, Cathal Morgan, says the Government target of 260 emergency beds for rough sleepers will be exceeded by tomorrow:
“We’ll have 271 beds fully in place by tomorrow. As it stands 246 beds are now available for use and are being occupied and by tomorrow we’ll have the full 271 operational,” he said.
